The Battle for Human Rights

In this section we look at issues around the world that I believe aren’t getting enough coverage or have not made significant progress to better the situation. My biggest passion at this current point in time is the instability in the Middle East, especially in Aleppo. This will be my platform to really focus on this and hopefully in the near future begin taking steps myself to help out in the area. I am also going to be focusing closely on Aboriginal matters in Australia as well as our treatment of asylum seekers. The United Nations definition of human rights is as below:

“Human Rights are universal legal guarantees protecting individuals and groups against actions which interfere with fundamental freedoms and human dignity.”

By this definition we will look at whether we are in fact failing those who desperately need our assistance, as well as how we can assist them further.
